The TCS New York City Marathon is one of the most iconic marathons in the world, with nearly 60,000 runners and more than two million spectators. The 2026 race is on Sunday, November 1st and marks a special milestone with a medal to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the marathon’s legendary five-borough course!

NYC is magical. One of the best and biggest parts about it is the community and crowd support that shows up to cheer you on. Enjoy the experience and all of your hard work that got you here. Whether you’re chasing a personal best, completing your first marathon, checking off another star on the Abbott World Marathon Major journey, or simply soaking up every mile, we hope you have such an amazing time out there.

Best of luck to everyone running this year! Visit our blog linked in our bio for a deeper course dive into the boroughs. Trust your training, fuel well, stay patient, and enjoy every mile. You’ve got this!

Strides are a simple component of training that runners can use to improve their running mechanics, coordination, and speed, while not adding a high level of stress and fatigue. Knowing the goal of a stride and how to do them correctly can make these a great part of your weekly training plan.

If strides have been consistent in your training block, they can also be useful the day before a race because they can help your body feel ready to run fast. If strides haven’t been in your training mix recently (or ever), we encourage you to try them out in your next training block!

Head to our blog on our site to read the full post.

Our Chicago Shakeout was such an incredible way to see some of our athletes in person and meet new connections. It’s that time when all the hard work in your training block is done, and the magic of race weekend feels real and electric and also full of anticipation and nerves. This time to shakeout the legs and share in conversation is always one of our favorite moments of showing up at races. Thank you to all those that came out!

We wish we could be at every race! Team Pace of Me has many runners racing all over the world this upcoming weekend. If you’re racing this weekend or this fall, we wish you the best of luck and joy out there!

In the coming days, look out for info on our shakeout in the Big Apple for NYC Marathon weekend!

After weeks or months of training, your race day is here and the night before a race can be exciting, but also something that can feel full of anticipation! Rather than spend the night before your race worrying about your pacing strategy, checking the weather app a thousand times, or making any last-minute changes to your nutrition and fueling plan, focus on relaxing and staying confident.

One of the best things you can do is keep your routine simple and familiar, even if you are in a destination city for your race. There is a difference between being prepared and overthinking your preparation or worrying about things that are out of your control. From preparing your race outfit to eating a familiar dinner (with carbs!) and getting to bed so you can rest up, we are sharing a few things you should do the night before your next race.

The Bank of America Chicago Marathon is one of the largest marathons in the world. More than 55,000 runners are expected to participate in the 2026 race, making this the largest running in the 48 year history! ❤️💙

It’s such an exciting weekend and we are counting down the days! All of our Pace of Me Coaches have run the Chicago Marathon and a few of us are annually found cheering on the sidelines! Coach Michelle lives right outside the city and we have gathered lots of exciting information about this race in one place on the blog for you to read through. If you have any questions about the race, our Saturday shakeout, or the Chicago Marathon weekend in general, reach out to us!

**The 2026 course is slightly changing this year due to construction, and runners will not run by the iconic Chicago Theatre on State Street, but it’s a staple we’ll miss this year so we kept it in the photos**
