I'm a 37 year old mom of three living in Reston, VA who loves to run and loves to talk about it. I'm a certified RRCA running coach, a Pilates teacher, a crafty business owner, and a dreamer.

Running is a huge part of my life, an essential piece of who I am. I can't imagine my life without running - it gives me the energy to face each day and helps me to believe in
myself. I really feel that running makes me a stronger, more patient mother and that I am my best self when I make running a regular part of my routine.
I've completed 11 marathons over the last 12 years: my first was a 5:21:20, my slowest a 5:34:26.

After having my third baby in February of 2011, I made a lot of changes to the way I approached my training and racing. I found I was capable of much more than I ever would have dreamed possible for someone like me. I ran my most recent and fastest marathon this April in Boston (my first ever Boston Marathon!) in a time of 3:21:41. More than 2 hours faster than my slowest marathon.

I am living proof that if you believe in yourself and if you work hard, you can accomplish more than you ever imagined possible.

I would love it if you would follow along with me on my journey. My hope is that by chronicling it here I will inspire others to believe in themselves, too -- and to know that
anything is possible with hard work, determination and dedication.
